CALGARY - WestJet Airlines Ltd. (TSX:WJA) is adding British Airways to its list of code-share partners.

The code-sharing agreement will make it possible to book WestJet flights to several Canadian cities when tickets on British Airways are sold.

It's another step in the Calgary-based company's efforts to extend its reach beyond its traditional base.

The two airlines have been increasing the level of their partnership over the past two years.

Starting Monday, travellers on British Airways flights Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto will be able to use the code-share agreement to connect with WestJet flights to Ottawa, Edmonton and Victoria.

It's the eighth code-sharing agreement for WestJet.
