SIDNEY, Mont. - Five years of effort by farmer-rancher Bryan Prevost will pay off this weekend when the Canadian Forces Snowbirds acrobatic team, headquartered at 15 Wing Moose Jaw, headline an air show at Sidney in eastern Montana.
Prevost, a third-generation pilot, submitted numerous applications and even found ways to meet and befriend Snowbird pilots to lure them to the event.
“There were times I wanted to give it up,” said Prevost, 37, of Lambert. “To have the Snowbirds in a small town like Sidney, Montana, that's unheard of.”
The Snowbirds are making just 11 appearances in the U.S. this year. Of those, five were scheduled at American military bases.
