Moose Jaw’s Fraser Tolmie believes he has the skills and traits necessary to help the city prosper into the future.
That is why this 39-year-old Moose Jaw Toyota car salesperson filed nomination papers at city hall on Wednesday, making him a city councillor candidate.
“I think I’m very creative,” Tolmie told the Times-Herald, adding he owns a local company called Cupcakes and Castles and he believes himself to be articulate, possessing common sense and leadership skills that could help council “get the job done.”

That job, according to Tolmie, requires savvy people able to tell the province why the city needs money for various projects.
While many council candidates name local hospital improvements as a priority in this election, Tolmie said the hospital is actually something out of the city’s jurisdiction.
Therefore, in order to successfully campaign for provincial funds while several other Saskatchewan communities are doing the same, Tolmie said council must be creative, which works with his personality.
