MP for Palliser Ray Boughen has been rushing all over Moose Jaw making federal funding announcements for community groups in the city.
The busy MP was also joined by Moose Jaw North MLA Warren Michelson on Thursday, who made funding announcements for the Government of Saskatchewan for the Prairie South School Division and the Moose Jaw YMCA.
The school division received $25,000 in federal skills link funding for its extended transitions program, which will help 30 youngsters ease their transition to work or return to school.
The project also received $35,000 from the Government of Saskatchewan for the second year.
Boughen said funding was going towards many different projects.
He said: “These projects come from applications so people have applied for different funding and we have championed that cause with them.”
At the Prairie South School Division offices, Boughen said he was impressed with the extended transitions program.
The funding announcement was made on behalf of Diane Finley, minister of human resources and skill development.
