Students at Central Collegiate were shocked and horrified when police came to the school on Tuesday to arrest a student for possession of cocaine.
But after the incident, they found out it was a mock arrest as part of National Addictions Awareness Week.
Student Cody Dixon, 17, volunteered to be arrested as part of the program organized by the Five Hills Health Region and did not tell anyone- not even his twin sister Caitlyn Dixon.
Constables Shawn Mohle and Mick Brock entered the school at break and arrested Dixon in the student lounge.
As he was arrested, Caitlyn broke down in tears and asked police what they were doing with her brother.
“I didn’t know,” she said, “I walked out the bathroom and there were all these cops around my brother.
“I started to cry. I was so freaked out and shocked and thought it couldn’t be happening as he would never do that.”
Dixon said he thought students had learned a lesson by watching his arrest.
“It’s something I don’t want to happen again for real,” Dixon said, “It sucked being handcuffed. It hurts."

Thank you for your kind words STEVO....very sweet:) I was actually referring to the original paper article that had the headline "Busted For Possession" in bold print with a pic of my bro being hauled into a police car with handcuffs on. My reading comprehension isn't the problem.
