The Moose Jaw Police were busy Saturday night answering 52 calls. Along with a number of accidents, there were also a number of fights, noise complaints and parties and reports of mischief.
Around 12:30 p.m. police were called to the 1000 block of Third Avenue Northeast, where two men fell from a roof of a local residence. Police say the incident was an industrial accident and Occupational Health and Safety have brought in investigators to conduct its own investigation. Both men were taken to the hospital where one man was admitted for serious injuries.
At 6:46 p.m. police were called to the scene of a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Main Street North and MacDonald Street, where a women driver hit a pedestrian. Police say the victim, who suffered a broken lag, was taken to hospital. The female driver is facing charges.
Around 7:30 p.m. police were called back to the top of Main Street North to a motor vehicle accident. Police say the accident involved two vehicles and caused around $7,000 damage. A female driver was charged with following to close.
At 9:17 p.m. one driver was charged with failing to stop, impaired driving and blowing over .08 after a two vehicle collision at Third Avenue and Stadacona West. Four people were reported to have suffered minor injuries.
Around 9:30 p.m. on the corner of Ninth Avenue and Coteau Street West, one driver was charged with following to close after a three vehicle accident. There were minor injuries reported and around $10,000 damage.
Police were called to the 0 block of Manitoba Street West around 2:58 a.m. Sunday, where a man was apprehended for fighting and a number of recognisance breaches. The man will be in court Monday.
At 4:11 a.m. a Break and Enter was reported at the 1300 block of First Avenue Northwest. Police say one male suspect was apprehended by the female homeowner. The suspect was also charged with assaulting a police officer. Police said when they attempted to take the man into custody he kicked one of the officers. The suspect will remain in police custody until his court appearance Monday morning.
