Celebrating the women of the world, around a120 Moose Javians gathered at Timothy Eaton Gardens Monday afternoon for a presentation by Norma Mitchell.
In honour of the 100th International Women's Day and this year's theme “Strong Women, Strong Canada, Strong World,” Karen Closs, the executive director at Moose Jaw Transition Association, said she couldn't have picked a better speaker or topic.
Describing life for women from the late 1800's right through to 2010, Mitchell gave those in attendance a snapshot of how life for women has changed one decade at a time.
Although Mitchell spoke about four of the most influential women in her life, she said her presentation was one that any women could have given.
“When you think about it, we all have women in our lives who have influenced who we are and what we do.”
