Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 46 calls between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, including a report of a hit and run on the 900 block of Caribou Street West at 5:45 p.m. on Friday.
A motorist reportedly drove into a vehicle before hitting a fence and driving away. However, police later found the vehicle on the 1300 block of Gordon Road. Police charged an adult male with impaired driving, driving with a blood-alcohol content exceeding the legal limit, as well as fleeing the scene of an accident.
City police also charged an adult male with impaired driving on the 100 block of High Street East at 2:49 a.m. on Saturday, as well they are investigating a separate hit and run report that cased $1,000 damage on the 500 block of Ninth Avenue Southwest at 12:09 a.m. on Saturday.
Police responded to a disturbance report on the 200 block of Wood Lily Drive at 12:35 a.m. on Saturday. An adult male was arrested for allegedly confronting police and has been charged with assaulting a police officer, although he released to appear in court at a later date.
At 8:53 p.m. on Friday, police and EMS responded to a single-vehicle collision on the 800 block of Coteau Street East. A driver hit a pole, causing about $300 damage, and charges are pending investigation.
On the 300 block of Henleaze Avenue at 6:04 p.m. on Friday, local police responded to a report of a garage that was broken into, causing some damage and resulting in the theft of $50 in various items.
On the 3000 block of High Street West at 2:51 a.m. on Saturday, local police responded to a report of a residential break in, resulting in approximately $200 damage to a door that was kicked in. Some items were taken.
