Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 55 calls between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, including a report of assault on the Trans Canada Trailer Court at 3:16 p.m. on Saturday.
While investigating the matter, police ended up arresting one adult male for impaired driving, assaulting a peace officer and wilful damage to a police car. Police also charged an adult female with causing damage to a police car, as well as resisting arrest and for having outstanding warrants.
The two arrested individuals were later released to appear in provincial court at a later date.
At 4:20 p.m. on Saturday, city police stopped a vehicle on the 1100 block of High Street West for exceeding 160 kilometres per hour in a 60 km/h zone. One male motorist received charges for dangerous driving, as well as having an invalid licence and unregistered vehicle.
Police continue to investigate a report of a smashed driver-side vehicle window on the 1000 block of Hastings Street at 10:12 a.m. on Saturday, causing $200 damage.
Police continue to investigate a report of mischief from the zero block of Ross Street East at 1:50 a.m. on Sunday. Someone reportedly tossed a hunk of cement through a building window causing approximately $600 damage.
At 6:04 a.m. on Sunday on the 200 block of Caribou Street West, local police responded to a report of hit and run causing approximately $500 damage. The suspect vehicle is a black Ford F-250 and police continue to investigate the incident.
