The spring business of City of Moose Jaw departments and services was revealed during Monday’s regular council meeting, when administration presented the quarterly report for April, May and June.
Here are some of the highlights from the report council voted to receive and file:
• Moose Jaw Police Service handled 4,711 complaints between April 1 and June 31, 2010. That’s a decrease from the 5,016 complaints handled for the same second-quarter period in 2009.
City police issued 5,665 parking bylaw tickets during the second quarter of this year, which is an increase from the 4,965 issued for the same three-month period in 2009.
For the first six months of 2010, city police handled a total of 8,649 complaints. In 2009, the total number of complaints between January and June totalled 8,715.
