Don’t call it Moose Jaw Pork Packers anymore.
On Friday, Donald’s Fine Foods/Britco Pork (DFF/BP) human resources manager Steve Glemnitz told the Times-Herald the company has picked a name for its soon-to-open pork-packing facility — Thunder Creek Pork.
He said the company is also going to start advertising jobs soon in advance of the plant’s planned opening at the end of 2010. At the same time, contractors are busy with construction work at the Home Street West facility.
Tony Martinez, (DFF/BP) vice president, said crews aren’t putting on any additions to the local plant, but are conducting extensive renovation work necessary to get the plant in shape, so it can pass federal certification.
