The heavy construction impacting traffic flow on Main Street North should come to an end in approximately two weeks.
On Monday, City of Moose Jaw public works manager Duane Grado told the Times-Herald crews are currently conducting water-main replacement between Caribou Street and Hochelaga Street on Main Street, but that work should end in another two weeks (possibly even a couple days sooner).
He said the Main Street project, which is currently diverting traffic in the downtown, is just one of the city’s capital projects for 2010. Despite a relatively rainy construction season, Grado said the city is about 50 per cent done its capital works program this year and should complete all such work by winter.
