One lane of traffic along the bridge crossing Buffalo Pound Lake north of Moose Jaw could be open to motorists as early as Tuesday.
On Monday, Saskatchewan Ministry of Highways spokeswoman Kirsten Leatherdale told the Times-Herald the ministry is focusing on getting the crane out of the water and putting structures back in place to allow for safe traffic flow as quickly as possible.
However, while a portion of the bridge collapsed with the crane on Saturday morning, the rest of the causeway was approved for regular traffic use prior to the bridge replacement that brought the crane onto the bridge in the first place.
