Students of SIAST — welcome!
The local college and its students association gave students a taste of what services are available to them, and even what careers might await them after graduation, during the orientation week tradeshow at Palliser Campus.
“It’s to introduce students to a bunch of information needed through the year,” student association president Shanda Rogoschewsky told the Times-Herald on Tuesday, as students filed into the college gymnasium to get their student identification photos and check out the various tradeshow kiosks.
Handing out pamphlets and other items on Tuesday included the city parks and recreation department, CIBC, various SIAST service groups, SHAW, the Canadian Forces and various other groups.
Other kiosks shared information about healthy living, while others discussed how students can apply for various scholarships.
