It might be referred to as the soccer facility, but Moose Jaw’s High Street West portion of the multiplex isn’t just limited to hosting “the beautiful game” on its lush green Astroturf.
For example, Aaron Damyen, Saskatchewan Field Hockey Association (SFHA) executive director, told the Times-Herald his organization would be very interested in utilizing the indoor facility as it tries to grow field hockey’s popularity in the Friendly City.
“Right now there is no formal program in Moose Jaw, but that’s something we want to change,” Damyen said on Thursday, adding last year a SFHA technical director went out to local schools, offering students a “taste” of field hockey and suggested there was local interest.
