The bail hearing has been set for Fraser Tripp, the man charged following the alleged spraying of bear mace into a crowd of people early Sunday morning.
Tripp, 25, appeared in court Monday afternoon.
"The crown was opposed to his release," said crown prosecutor Brian Hendrickson.
Hendrickson said Tripp has been remanded until his bail hearing and a bail report was ordered. He will appear again for the hearing Thursday.
Tripp faces four counts of assault with a weapon, breach of a court order, possession of a prohibited weapon and assaulting a police officer.
