Hugh Patterson has some good news for Moose Jaw's movie buffs: WolfCop "is a go."

WolfCop will be shot half-and-half in Regina and Moose Jaw, with the Friendly City being used for many of the film's exterior shots, said Hugh Patterson.
"We start filming Oct. 7, and I think a lot of the exteriors will probably be down at the Wild Animal Park, if things go well," Patterson told the Times-Herald Monday. "We want to get a lot of those shots done as soon as we can, for weather reasons."
Patterson said the film will likely be shot half in Regina and half in Moose Jaw, but wanted to "put to bed" the rumour that Moose Jaw's police station would be used in the shooting.
"We found a cop shop in Regina for our interior," he said. "But we may very well try to use some exterior shots in Moose Jaw.
"A lot of the interior house shots will be in Moose Jaw, and a lot of street exterior stuff, just because Moose Jaw is a nicer looking town in a lot of ways and a little 'home'-ier."
Patterson mentioned several locations that are still up in the air — including, potentially, the Moose Jaw library — but said "there's a lot of scenarios that haven't quite been worked out yet."
One thing is for certain: there will be a casting call.
"We'll definitely be looking for some extras from Moose Jaw," he said.
