The book has closed on the Moose Jaw Humane Society's Barking Mad About Books sale.
"This has been our best book sale to date," said Dana Haukaas with the MJHS. "We had more donations made for this sale than any previous sales (and) we've taken in over $12,000 so far."
According to Haukaas, the money will "go to the day-to-day operations" of the Humane Society.
This includes cleaning the shelter, providing medical care, and purchasing food for the animals, among other purposes.
The sale, she said, was a sort of "breaking in" for new fundraising co-ordinator Dawn Cardell.
"I think she'll be looking forward to taking a little bit of a break before focusing on our next fundraiser," Haukaas added.
