Taylor charged in fatal rollover

Moose Jaw RCMP has charged Jesse David Taylor of Moose Jaw, stemming from a single-vehicle rollover on Sept. 15, 2013.

On Thursday, Taylor, 22, was arrested and charged with three counts of impaired driving causing death, three counts of driving over .08 causing death, three counts of dangerous driving causing death, one count of impaired driving causing bodily harm, one count of driving over .08 causing bodily harm and one count of dangerous driving causing bodily harm.

At around 11 p.m. that evening, Taylor was driving on Highway 2, approximately 37 km south of Moose Jaw, when the vehicle rolled over.

There were four passengers in the vehicle at the time of the rollover.

Jason Friesen and Joshua Patterson of Moose Jaw, and Justin Kowalski of Mossbank – all 24 years old – were killed in the collision. A fourth person remains in hospital with long-term injuries resulting from the crash.

Taylor made an appearance at Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Thursday. He is scheduled to be back in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on Feb. 5, 2014.
