Fire calls

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to four calls for service between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, including three activated fire alarms and one service call.

 

Police calls

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 29 calls for service between 7 a.m. Thursday and 7 a.m. Friday, including one suspicious occurrence, two thefts that are still under investigation and one case of erratic driving still under investigation.

Police handed out one 24-hour driving suspension for drinking too much alcohol and were alerted to another possible impaired driver, but the driver was not able to be located.

Police responded to three multi-vehicle collisions resulting in a combined approximate damage total of $22,000 and one ticket was issued. The collision at General Crescent and Normandy Drive left one person with minor injuries.

Police also responded to two hit and runs. One caused about $1,500 – 400 block of Fairford Street East – in damage and is still under investigation, while the other incident – 100 block of Macdonald Street – caused about $2,000 in damage and the offending driver was charged with failure to report an accident.
