This year, the annual Times-Herald/Salvation Army Christmas Stocking Fund raised over $20,000 to help purchase groceries to fill Salvation Army hampers for local families struggling to make ends meet during the holiday season. Even though Christmas has come and gone, we are still accepting donations right up until New Years Eve.
This year the city has experienced one of the coldest Decembers in recent memories, but that didn’t stop citizens of the Friendly City from donating to the Times-Herald/Salvation Army annual Stocking Fund.
