The Moose Jaw Police Service apprehended three male young offenders after they fled the scene of an alleged assault.
Update: The three arrested youths were remanded in custody until Jan. 2 after appearing in Moose Jaw Provincial Court Friday morning.
Relating to the Boxing Day incident, the three youths face a total of 16 charges, including assault, possession of a prohibited weapon, several breaches of court order charges and committing mischief of value not exceeding $5,000.
Around 7 p.m. Thursday police responded to complaint at a residence on the west side of Moose Jaw where residents claimed to have been assaulted with a machete and bear spray.
The suspected youths fled the scene, and after a short foot chase, were apprehended by police.
There were no serious injuries as a result of the incident.
