Retired Air Force mechanic Bob Osemlak coped without power after the ice storm for two days by using an inverter to let his Prius power his house.

You might not look at the power of a Toyota Prius the same way ever again, unless you’re Bob Osemlak.

A retired Air Force mechanic who spent 10 years stationed at 15 Wing, Osemlak used his Prius to power his refrigerator, TV, furnace and generate electricity for around 11 hours on Dec. 21, 2013.

    I own a Prius and this is just one more reason these cars are so fabulous. Can you tell me if this is the plug in Prius or the Hybrid?
