Ray Taylor never expected to receive a Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. “I’m very humbled. I guess that says it in a nutshell,” said Taylor, one of 30 recipients from the Palliser riding to receive the medal Saturday night at the Heritage Inn. Taylor said he has been involved in community projects and groups such as the Hillcrest Sports Centre, the curling rink project, the multiplex project and the police commissioners board. — Feb. 11, 2013

Fire calls

Moose Jaw Fire Department had no activities to report between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday.

 

Police calls

Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 31 calls for service between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday including a dispute, a report of an intoxicated male, a report of an abandoned vehicle, an altercation and mischief.

Police are still investigating two thefts from the 400 and 800 blocks of Main Street North.

Police are still investigating reports of male who skipped out on a food/drink tab from a local restaurant with an estimated loss of $182.
