At about 1:40 p.m. last Friday, Craik RCMP received a report that a 65-year-old woman and a 67-year-old man were found dead in a residence in the Craik Eco Village.

A family member discovered the married couple and immediately requested emergency assistance.

Investigators from the Craik detachment, as well as the coroner’s office, continue to investigate the deaths. The coroner’s office has ordered autopsies be performed on the bodies.

At this point, RCMP do not consider the deaths to be suspicious in nature.

The RCMP has contacted the family of the deceased, but permission has not yet been granted to release their names.
