Victim of Trans-Canada fatality named

The Moose Jaw Police Service has released the name of the victim involved in a fatal highway accident that occurred around 4 a.m. on March 7.

Daniel Flint Thomas, 29, from the area around Leoville, Sask., was killed when a semi trailer travelling westbound on the Trans-Canada Highway – between the Highway 2 North overpass and Ninth Avenue Northwest – struck him. 

Charges are pending against the semi driver, while his log books are sent to Transport Canada for review.
