The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to two calls between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, including the large fire that affected businesses and residences along the zero block of High Street West. Damage is extensive.
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 48 calls for service between 7 a.m. Wednesday and 7 a.m. Thursday, including four 911 calls, one dispute, damage to two vehicles, two intoxicated adult males and two hit and runs that are still under investigation.
A charge of marijuana possession resulted after a complaint of a suspicious vehicle was spotted in the 400 block of 14 Avenue Northwest. The subject was released to appear in court at a later date.
Police also responded to the large fire that consumed businesses and residences on the zero block of High Street West. Emergency crews are still on scene.
