The dealership won the 2013 President's Award. It is the 11th year in a row Moose Jaw Ford Sales has won the President's Award.
One wall in an office at Moose Jaw Ford Sales is filled with prestigious awards. Now there is another award to add.
The dealership won the 2013 Presidents Award, the top Ford of Canada dealership honour, for the 11th year in a row.
“The people that work here are what make the difference and make sure we get the award,” said Scott Evans, general manager of Moose Jaw Ford Sales.
Criteria for the award are based on customer surveys, feedback and "having a strong market share in the area," he said. Evans said the dealership aims to give customers the best possible buying experience.
“So basically if you sell lots of cars and customers like you a lot, you win that award and only a small percentage of dealers win that award,” said Evans. “We strive here towards customer satisfaction. Customers here are No. 1 and we always try to put ourselves in customers’ shoes.”
The dealership won the Diamond Club rank of the President’s Award. Evans described it as “the top of the top.”
“You can win the President’s Award, but only the top few win the Diamond Club,” he said. “I think they’ve had that for the last four years.”
To win the Diamond Club, dealers need to be in top 10 per cent of the top 25 per cent of all dealers in Canada for customer satisfaction.
“It’s kind of gold, silver and bronze. You can win the President’s Club, which would be like a bronze, but gold or silver would be the Diamond Club,” said Evans.
After winning the award for 11 years straight, the dealership now expects to win the annual award.
“We try and provide our customers with a better buying experience, good service experience and that goes a long way in customer satisfaction is being upfront with the customers,” said Evans. “As long as the customers are happy, we’re busy. It’s all about the customers. A business that looks after its customers always has a good business.”
Moose Jaw Ford Sales was also named one of Ford of Canada’s top 125 dealers. Making the list is based on customer service and volume.
“We’re going to keep doing what we’re doing and of course we’re always trying to consistently improve. Every year business changes a little bit and we want to try and improve with the times and technology and all the things that are out there,” he said. “In 2014 we’re going to be building a brand new facility to help service our customers better as well.”
