Seedy Saturdays take place across Canada. On Saturday, Moose Jaw will host its first annual one.
The free community event will take place in the upper south meeting room at the Moose Jaw Public Library from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday.
“It’s a community event and it’s just designed to bring together new and experienced gardeners,” said organizer Keri Fox of Green Sister Gardens. “This kind of gives them a space to share information in and participate in a seed exchange.
“They can exchange their own seeds with each other and then we’re also going to have a couple vendors that sell heirloom and heritage seeds as well. So they can purchase from them.”
Other events include guest speaker Rachelle Ternier from Prairie Garden Seeds who will present at 2 p.m. There will also be children’s activities and garden workshops.
