The demolition of the Overseas Restaurant has suffered a setback: the trackhoe demolishing it has tipped over.

The vehicle appeared to have fallen into a basement of the restaurant.

The Times-Herald was able to speak to the owner of the restaurant, as well as Jim Wilk, who is overseeing the demolition.

The owner confirmed the Overseas Restaurant has a partial basement.

Wilk said the operator of the vehicle wasn't injured.

"It went down in slow motion," he said.

Wilk will bring in another piece of equipment to help haul the trackhoe out of the hole. Once that is done, demolition will resume.
