Fire calls

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to two calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. Headquarters station responded to the rural municipality of Pense to assist EMS and Lillooet station responded to the 1700 block of Coteau Street West for a grass fire.


Police calls

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 56 calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, including 13 curfew checks, two alarm calls, two noise complaints, three thefts, three incidents of mischief, two disputes and a break and enter on the 900 block of Ninth Avenue Northwest that is still under investigation.

Police also attended to a pair of assaults. One person was charged following an assault on the 1200 block of Iroquois Drive. The matter surrounding an assault and mischief on the 1000 block of Redland Avenue is, however, still under investigation.

Drug paraphernalia was seized on the 1300 block of 13 Avenue Southwest and that matter is still under investigation.

Two hit and runs were reported to police – 1500 block of Main Street North and zero block of Main Street North – with damage estimated at $5,000.

Police also responded to a single vehicle accident on Ninth Avenue Northeast. There were no injuries, no charges laid and damage is estimated at $4,000.
