The Moose Jaw Environmental Advisory Committee hosted a two-day information community engagement forum, offering seminars on a range of topics focusing on planning design and implementation. The event was held at SIAST Palliser Campus over Friday and Saturday to bring information and engagement on areas of employment, environment, health and technology. —April 8, 2013

Fire calls

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to two calls for service between 7 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday.

Lillooet Station responded to the intersection of Second Avenue Southeast and Manitoba Street for a service call Sunday night.

Both stations responded to an alarm at 15 Wing Monday morning.

Police calls

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 37 calls for service between 7 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, including two hit and runs, two break and enters, two disputes, two noise complaints and two complaints involving publicly intoxicated men.

Police mediated one of the disputes and transported a male found injured and intoxicated at the scene of the other to hospital. They also charged two men alleged to have damaged a fence. 

They are still investigating both hit and runs and both break and enters.
