New lease agreement will result in Y service expansion

The Moose Jaw Family YMCA has a lot of work ahead of it this year.

Jeff Fox, CEO of Moose Jaw and Family YMCA, poses in the new space his organization will likely begin leasing from the Moose Jaw Co-op on May 1. Fox said the Y will look to move some of its existing fitness classes into the space, opening more room in the Fairford location for additional programming.

Pending ratification by the organization's board of directors, the YMCA will be leasing the former Co-op Marketplace Cafe space in the basement of the grocery store effective May 1.

That's too bad that the cafeteria closed. It was always so busy. Now where do the older people go to meet friends and have coffee?
