Three youths were confronted by an adult male with a machete late in the evening of April 18.
Moose Jaw Police Service
Thomas Slater, 20, did not use the machete on any of the youths along the 1100 block of Hochelaga Street West. He did, however, punch and kick them.
An investigation by the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) led to the identification of Slater and he turned himself into police the next day.
Slater was also found to have two previous court orders concerning keeping the peace and having a curfew.
MJPS charged the male with three counts of assault with a weapon, one count of carrying a weapon dangerous to the public and six counts of violating his court order.
On Monday, Slater made his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court. He was remanded in custody until his next court appearance, which will take place Thursday.
