A packed Mae Wilson Theatre was the place to be Friday night for a stellar lineup of Canadian music talent. JUNOfest is now in full swing in the Friendly City, with Canadian musicians showcasing their talent to coincide with the Juno Awards taking place in Regina. Megan Nash, Reuben and the Dark, Danielle Duval and headliner Serena Ryder gave the Mae Wilson audience great performances for JUNOfest, and were able to keep their fans happy, while having an opportunity to achieve new ones along the way. – April 20, 2013

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to three calls for service between 7 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, two of which involved responding to alarm activations. Headquarters Station also assisted EMS personnel along the zero block of Ross Street East.
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 31 calls for service between 7 a.m. Sunday and 7 a.m. Monday, including three 911 calls, three court order breaches, three noise complaints – two of which resulted in tickets issued under the Noise Bylaw – and reports of multiple cars racing along the 1300 block of Third Avenue Northeast that is still under investigation.
Police also responded to and are still investigating two cases of theft. Between 1 and 8:30 a.m. Sunday, a compressor and nail gun valued at approximately $700 was stolen along the zero block of Coteau Street West.
Theft of cash and medication in the 900 block of Simcoe Street was also reported to police.
Police also responded to windows smashed out of a vehicle parked in the alley of the 900 block of Athabasca Street West. Damage is estimated at between $1,500 and $2,000. It remains under investigation.
Police laid a charge of possession of an unlicensed firearm on a man in the 400 block of Trinity Lane on Sunday evening.
