Jordan Zimmerman of Village Ford Lincoln shows off the dealership's Better Business Bureau Torch Award.
However, there is more to it than that.
The dealership was awarded the Better Business Bureau of Saskatchewan Torch Award in the automotive industry on April 10 because they display ethical business decision-making and integrity and impact their community positively.
“Our staff is obviously key. Having the right staff in place and when we do get people who call in and if something is not perfect, we respond immediately and we never leave anyone hanging,” said Zimmerman. “We have always had the 'customer is always right' kind of attitude and we do what we can, above and beyond, to rectify any situation so it doesn’t escalate.”
Corryn Miskiman, who works in marketing for Village Ford said it begins with having a staff that is happy to come in to work everyday.
“We have a good staff that works together as a team and we have really low turnover throughout the whole store,” Miskiman said. “So our customers come in and become part of the village family. We have tons of customers that just come in and hangout.”
April has been a busy month for Village Ford, as they have moved from their 1708 Main Street location to their new Thatched Drive location East of Walmart,
Zimmerman said the move was important because they had outgrown the service facilities at the old location and needed more room for their staff and customers.
“With the new location the traffic count is huge compared to where we used to be and being beside a Walmart is always good because it’s the busiest store in the city,” said Zimmerman.
Planning for the move began two years ago and Village Ford opened in the new location on April 10. This week is the grand opening of the dealership’s Quick Lane Tire and Auto Centre. The grand opening of the new Valley Ford isn’t determined but is expected either in late May or early June.
