Coffee and a lot of it was the order for Monday after a weekend of non-stop action. A slew of Juno events kept the community hopping from one venue to another over the weekend, with reports coming in that people had a very positive impression of the entertainment held in the Friendly City. “It worked out well. We were worried with so much happening in Regina, Moose Jaw wouldn’t get as much attention, but we certainly did,” Kevin Haakenson, owner of Bobby’s Place, told the Times-Herald. – April 23, 2013

The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to one call for service between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, which was a response to an activated alarm system on the 800 block of Chester Road.
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 55 calls for service between 7 a.m. Tuesday and 7 a.m. Wednesday, including eight 911 calls, three disputes, two cases of mischief, one complaint of fraud and six thefts, four of which are still under investigation and one of which resulted in an adult male being charged with theft and three counts of breach of recognizance.
Police also responded to a two-vehicle collision along the 300 block of Ninth Avenue Southwest. There were no injuries and estimated damage costs are unknown.
Police also received an assault complaint in the 600 block of Athabasca Street East. The assault is still under investigation.
