Fire and police calls for the period between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 81 calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday. Those included nine 911 calls, two warrants executed, two curfew checks, six parking complaints and eight loud parties.
There was a single-vehicle motor vehicle accident at the intersection of First Avenue Northeast and Manitoba Street East at 2:13 a.m. There was $1,000 in damages.
Police handled a situation involved four youth causing a disturbance in the playground at the 100 block of Athabasca Street East at 8 p.m. on Friday. The subjects were located and warned of their actions.
Police towed a vehicle for having unregistered plates on the 900 block of Caribou Street West. A storage shed had property damage but nothing was taken and police are still investigating.
Police dealt with five assault complaints. In one of the complaints, a woman was taken into custody with charges pending. In two complaints, the parties involved were spoken to and no charges have been laid. The other two complaints are still under investigation.
The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to a call of a grass fire at 2 p.m. on Friday in the R.M. of Moose Jaw. The grass fire was extinguished.
