A man is facing charges following a domestic dispute call late Saturday night.
Moose Jaw Police Service
At 11:57 p.m., the Moose Jaw Police Service (MJPS) responded to a 911 call along the 1000 block of Stadacona Street West alerting them to a domestic dispute involving a knife.
Police surrounded the home and a K9 unit was used to assist in the arrest.
Colton Nickolas MacDonald, 19, was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon and possession of a dangerous weapon. Nobody was injured in the incident and MacDonald was arrested without incident.
“When you are in possession of a weapon and you make threats to a person with that weapon, you are charged with assault with a weapon,” Sgt. Cliff Froehlich told the Times-Herald Monday. “That’s what took place in this incident.”
MacDonald, who is known to police, was released and will make his first appearance in Moose Jaw Provincial Court on July 28.
