King George Elementary School will be celebrating its 100th anniversary on Oct. 17.

Saskatchewan writer, illustrator and cartoonist Rolli spoke to students at King George Elementary School on Thursday morning.

Rolli, who has published four books so far including the new children's collection, Dr. Franklin's Staticy Cat, read some excerpts from his stories.

His readings were interspersed with question and answer periods with students.

"He's really funny," said Destiny Whyte, a Grade 3 student.

Rolli also draws cartoons for Reader's Digest and other magazines. At the end of the session, kids who pre-ordered his books were able to pick them up.
