The Moose Jaw Police Service received 88 calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday, including eight noise complaints, two hit and runs, two disputes, two collisions, a publicly intoxicated individual, a shoplifting complaint, a theft complaint and an impaired driving complaint.
Friday evening, Police attended to the intersection of Ninth Avenue Northeast and Athabasca Street after they were informed a large group of kids had formed at a cemetery and one was wearing a mask and carrying a chainsaw. Police discovered the group was working on a movie project and the chainsaw was fake.
Police charged an individual with possession of a stolen motorcycle. They charged another, who was intoxicated in public, with breach of court order. Two individuals were charged with impaired driving and driving over .08, and one of those individuals was also charged for failure to remain in one of the hit and run incidents.
Police continue to investigate a stolen vehicle report, as well as the shoplifting and theft complaints.
The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to five calls for service between 7 a.m. Friday and 7 a.m. Saturday.
Engines were dispatched from Headquarters Station Friday morning to clean up fluids from a collision. Almost two hours later, engines from Headquarters were again dispatched to assist EMS.
Engines from Headquarters and Lillooet Stations responded to the zero block of Fifth Avenue Northwest for alarms sounding.
The MJFD also responded to the 800 block of Sixth Avenue Northwest for a service call Friday night, and the 1300 block of Montgomery Street for a carbon monoxide alarm activation early Saturday morning.
