Emergency crews and RCMP are seen corralling cattle following a semi rollover late Wednesday evening on Highway 2, just south of Chamberlain.
Shortly before midnight Wednesday, Lumsden RCMP were called to the scene of a semi rollover on Highway 2, about five kilometres south of Chamberlain.
Under heavy rain and high winds, the semi – a cattle-liner – was transporting cattle when it rolled off the highway. RCMP has yet to say whether or not weather contributed to the rollover, which caused delays on the highway.
Cattle have been removed from the cattle-liner, but Lumsden, Craik and Moose Jaw RCMP have asked the public to be on the lookout for cattle wandering the area.
Highway 2 is again open to traffic in both lanes, and RCMP noted the semi and trailer would be removed at some point Thursday morning.
The condition of the driver is not yet known at this time.
