A Moose Jaw high school student won an esteemed provincial leadership award.
Kendra Vanstone, a Grade 11 student at Cornerstone Christian School, won the Saskatchewan Junior Achievement Professional Leadership Award.
She won an all-expense paid trip to Toronto to do business workshops and discuss international issues at the Next Generation Leaders Forum taking place from Aug. 17 to 23. More than 200 students from across Canada and around the world will attend the conference.
Vanstone was also a Junior Achievement student in her Entrepreneurship 30 class to develop and run the trail mix company, Twists and Turns. At the end of the semester, students could apply for scholarships.
"I'm just so honoured," said Vanstone. "Junior Achievement is such an amazing program."
