Strong Kids is an annual fundraiser that raises as much needed resources to support YMCA programs.

"The campaign allows us to fund anybody that comes through the door at the YMCA like a child, youth, or family. We can provide them the ability to attend the YMCA program and use our services whatever it might be," said Corinne Demanski, manager of funds development for YMCA Moose Jaw. "Ultimately we don't deny access to anybody."

The money will go toward services which ranges from sending children to camp during the summer, giving prenatal classes to a new mother, or giving youth a membership to their facilities.

Last year, the Moose Jaw Strong Kids Campaign raised over $104,000 and they're looking to match that number again this year.

"All of that money went right back into the community. In terms of helping children, that's a lot," said Demanski.

The golf tournament is one of the big contributers to the yearly campaign which continues to grow each year.

"The event is certainly growing as we grow with partnerships and with our involvement with different sponsors and supporters in the community," said Demanski.

"The more funding we raise, the further we're able to expand our services and programs in the community. It sponsors more children and families and provide more programs and it keeps going strong."
