Duane Grado, public works manager, speaks about road repairs at the March 10, 2014 council meeting.
City crews are making significant progress in road repairs.
Duane Grado, public works manager, said the city is already over half done roadwork on the list of 150 roads backlogged from 2013.
By the end of the summer and by the time the snow hits, Grado is hopeful the backlog will be finished and crews will have achieved a chunk of the 2014 work.
“It’s working better than we anticipated,” said Grado.
Work will increase double-fold in July when the second pothole truck is scheduled to arrive, he added.
