Police calls – June 29, 2014

The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 42 calls for service between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday.

Among those calls were four noise complaints, four shoplifters, three 911 calls, two breached court orders, two disturbances, two disputes, a case of harassment, one case of threats that is still under investigation and one case of mischief that left damage estimated at $300.

Police also responded to a hit and run to a vehicle on the zero block of Manitoba Street West. The incident is believed to have taken place between 4:30 a.m. and 5:30 a.m. Saturday. Damage is estimated at $1,000.

An accident involving a bicyclist at the intersection of Main Street North and River Street East required police. The bicyclist sustained minor injuries and the driver was charged with failure to yield to a pedestrian.

Police responded to a call about an erratic driver who was located at First Avenue Northwest and Hochelaga Street. The male was charged with driving an unregistered vehicle and driving while disqualified. The vehicle was also seized.
