Police investigating another bear spray assault

Two people were attacked with bear mace during an attempted robbery shortly after midnight Monday.

According to a report by the Moose Jaw Police Service, the incident occurred along the 1000 block of Main Street North when two two suspects attempted to steal a necklace from one of the victims. 

The suspects, which the MJPS did not confirm to the Times-Herald the gender or estimated age of, fled on foot and are still at large.

The victims, whose gender was also not revealed by the MJPS, were transported to the Moose Jaw Union Hospital where they were treated and released. 

At this time, the investigation is ongoing.

This marks the second bear spray assault in Moose Jaw in 2014. On Feb. 22, police and EMS responded to the zero block of Kalmia Crescent after bear spray was used at a house party.
