The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to two calls for service between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday. Both stations attended a house fire on the 700 block of Vaughan Street on Monday afternoon, and on Tuesday morning Headquarters station responded to a motor vehicle accident east of the city.
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 52 calls for service between 7 a.m. Monday and 7 a.m. Tuesday, including five 911 calls, three warrants issued, three disputes, one disturbance, a report of a suspicious person and a case of vehicle mischief that is still under investigation.
Police also responded to two thefts – one from a vehicle and one from a home – are still under investigation, as is a break and enter on the 1400 block of Ninth Avenue Northwest.
Reports of an impaired driver were passed on to police, who located the driver on the 400 block of Ominica Street West and levied charges against the driver.
Police also responded to a two-vehicle collision at the intersection of Thatcher Drive West and Simcoe Street. There was approximately $10,000 in damage, two minor injuries and one driver was issued a ticket.
