Police and fire calls for the last 24 hours.
Moose Jaw Fire Department
The Moose Jaw Police Service responded to 51 calls for service between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday, including three 911 calls, three alarms and four warrants executed.
Police gave a youth an official Youth Criminal Justice Act warning for shoplifting on the zero block of Thatcher Drive East at 3:17 p.m. on Saturday.
Police found an adult man passed out for intoxication on the 100 block of Ominica Street West at 4:18 p.m.
There were also three disputes. Police spoke to two adult men having a dispute on the zero block of MacDonald Street at 8 a.m. Saturday. There was also a custody dispute at the zero block of Fairford Street West and the parties were advised of proper procedures. The last dispute was an issue between a landlord and a tenant. They were advised of proper procedures.
Police also responded to four situations regarding the noise bylaw. In three of the four situations, those involved were warned. However, in the case of an incident at the 1100 block of Athabasca Street West, an adult man was charged for a noisy stereo.
Police charged an adult man with consuming alcohol against his conditions of a court order at 5 a.m. Sunday on the 200 block of High Street West.
There was an assist locate call on the 700 block of Thatcher Drive East just after noon on Saturday. An adult man left the local store and his wife was concerned that he hadn’t returned. He returned while the complaint was being made.
There were also two disturbances, which were mediated. At various locations, police dealt with breaches of court orders, including three curfew checks and the subjects weren’t home. There were new charges of disobeying court orders.
Police responded to a call of a stolen vehicle. This was unfounded as it was located later. The owner forgot where he parked.
There was one instance of an impaired driver on Caribou Street at Main Street North. This was unfounded because the driving action was to avoid potholes.
The Moose Jaw Fire Department responded to four calls between 7 a.m. Saturday and 7 a.m. Sunday. Just before 10 a.m., police responded to the Double J trailer court for alarms sounding.
Engines responded to Prairie Oasis for a carbon monoxide alarm just after noon. Fire crews also responded to the 1100 block of Athabasca Street East to assist EMS.
The other call was on the 100 block of Ominica Street West to assist EMS.
