Two charged in Sunday morning disturbance

Two men have been charged following an incident involving a knife on the 200 block of High Street West early morning on Sunday.

At approximately 3:30 a.m., police were called to a disturbance. It was alleged a man was threatening people with knives.

When police arrived on scene, the two men fled on foot. They were found in a neighbouring yard and arrested.

One of the individuals, a 20-year-old man, was charged with one count of assault with a weapon and released on conditions.

A second individual is facing two charges of assault with a weapon as well as several breaches of his court orders. He was remanded into custody and will appear in court today.
